Hosting Like-Minded Friend from Hampi at the Farm
There’s a special kind of magic that happens when you bring good people together on the farm. Recently, we were delighted to host Nama and his lovely family. Having made the move from Maharashtra to Hampi about a year ago, they’ve really settled into the rhythm of this place.

It was such a joy to show them around. We spent hours just walking the land, enjoying the simple pleasures of the farm—plucking fresh mosambi (sweet lime) and Ripe Tamarind straight from the trees and sharing laughs under the shade of our two big, beautiful tamarind trees.

Nama brought some of his wonderful homemade kombucha, and let me tell you, it was a treat! It’s inspiring to see him doing his thing, crafting Greek yogurt and other goodies for the visitors and foreigners who pass through Hampi. He really understands the heartbeat of this town, and it was great to sit down and talk about his journey and how he ended up here.
As we relaxed under those tamarind trees, the conversation naturally turned to the future. We started brainstorming how we could make this specific spot—this quiet, shaded sanctuary—a home for a new project: a simple, welcoming yoga retreat.
We’re still in the early stages, just tossing around ideas and dreaming about how to make it happen, but the energy is perfect. It’s not just about building something new; it’s about sharing the peace we find here every day.
It was a day well spent—full of good vibes, fresh fruit, and the excitement of what’s to come. Thanks for visiting, Nama! We can’t wait for the next chapter.
