Farming is one of the oldest and most noble professions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yet socially, it is often treated as a \u201clast option.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- Farmers struggle to find marriage alliances.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Families hesitate to give their daughters to farmers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Being a farmer is seen as inferior to a salaried job.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
This is a painful reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A software engineer earning \u20b940,000\/month is considered \u201csettled.\u201d
A farmer managing 10 acres is considered \u201crisky.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\nWhat does that say about our society?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If this continues, 5\u201310 years from now, you may hardly see family farmers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Land will slowly consolidate.
Corporate farming will expand.
Small family farms will disappear.<\/p>\n\n\n\nAgriculture will not disappear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But the family farmer might.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
The knowledge passed from grandfather to father to son\u2026
The understanding of soil by touch\u2026
The instinct to read the wind\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\nThat is what may go extinct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If no farmer wants his child to farm\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Who will grow your food?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Who will protect the soil?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Who will care about biodiversity instead of quarterly profits?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Food is not software.
You cannot code it in a lab.
It comes from soil, sweat, and seasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\nWhy I Still Chose Farming<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Out of 13 cousins, I chose this path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Not because it is easy.
Not because it is profitable.
But because it matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\nI believe farming must evolve.
It must become respected.
It must become economically viable.
It must become aspirational again.<\/p>\n\n\n\nOtherwise, the next generation will not even consider it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If society wants safe food, healthy soil, and rural stability, we must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- Support farmers directly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Pay fair prices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Respect the profession.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Encourage youth in agriculture.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Promote local and organic farming.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Because once family farming disappears, bringing it back will be nearly impossible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\nAt Hampi Organic Farms, we are not just growing fruits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are trying to keep a legacy alive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And the question is not whether farming will survive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
